Business Process consulting is at the core of what we at Cotoc do.  Our basis in industrial engineering has led us to be experts in processes.  We use  that specialty to help streamline your internal processes.  At Cotoc we pride ourselves on efficiency and ingenuity developing systems  that will separate our clients from the pack.  We do this by assessing what current procedures are in place and tackling the question head on developing new innovative mechanisms which will boost productivity.

Our methodology for business process consulting is simple. First thing we do is figure out the current processes that are implemented in your company, (as is processes).Next we identify where we can change those implement those processes and discover and resolve any problems or gaps. Finally, we document and finalize the to-be processes. We at Cotoc had the honor of working with a large utility company to help automate and streamline many of their digital work spaces and forecasting systems, In this project we helped them document the processes as they currently are, "as in" processes, and helped them define how they plan to evolve those processes, or their "to be" processes. This action had made their work more efficient, as well as limiting the room for human error.

When working on new organizational consulting projects the first thing we do is identify the value of the change and how much needs to be changed. After that we start working on creating the change management plan and approach and develop the communication plan. Then we construct training programs. Next, we conduct both leadership and stakeholder engagement and finish off the development of training materials. Finally, we execute both the training and the knowledge transition plans.  We helped and oil company in Texas figure out and benchmark how much the average company in their sector compensates their employees so that their turnover rate went down significantly. We did this by using labor indexes and public record.

Throughout the project we manage everything and make sure everything runs smoothly and to plan. The first thing we do when working on Technology management is assess and scope out what work needs to be done and where we can optimize the technology.  Next, we develop a business case which includes all of our findings and consolidates everything to one place.  Then, we develop the Project Charter which is the document that charts out the4 objective of the project and the steps that need to be taken to reach that goal. After, we have put together the project charter we focus on finding which software or application fits the specific needs, if necessary. Then we inform and bring the relevant parties on-board the project and execute the scope of the work.  Finally, we close out the project and the client has a seamless technology which fits their needs and goals.

Project Description: We worked with a large energy company, specifically their transmission group, to help make sure they were getting the most out of the energy that they were using. We reduced the amount of unaccounted for energy (UFE), we are particularly proud of this innovative project since it is something that improved efficiency greatly, and we feel something the company benefited greatly from.
