History

COTOC was founded in January 2009 in Houston, Texas, by Ryan Cojoe, who was driven by an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to create job opportunities within the management consulting sector. From its inception, the company has focused on delivering value, starting with its first project, establishing a contingency workforce program for a major oil and gas corporation in Houston, Texas. Since then COTOC has worked to establish its reputation for overdelivering on client expectations and quality.

COTOC secured its first major client, marking a significant milestone in its growth.

2015

We partnered with Powerrunner, a utility software provider, expanding its offerings in professional services.

2016

COTOC hired a senior project manager to spearhead the development of a business case for a power and utility companies, signaling the beginning of a more robust team.

2017

COTOC launched its intern program, fostering a culture of mentorship that not only infused the workplace with fresh perspectives but also helped educate a younger generation of professionals.

2020

We established our board of advisors in 2024 to further solidify the company’s foundation, lending us strategic guidance to keep pace with industry changes.

Over the years, COTOC has demonstrated resilience in the face of challenges, such as the COVID-19 pandemic. By reducing overhead costs while maintaining an unwavering commitment to excellent customer service, COTOC was able to weather the pandemic. With over 20 years of extensive experience in change management, project management, and process improvement, our CEO has built a reputation for driving transformative initiatives across a diverse array of industries. His career spans both the public and private sectors, from the Big 4 to startups.
Ryan has worked with energy and utility companies to navigate the complexities and challenges posed by rapidly changing fuel prices. By focusing on the human and operational dimensions, he has helped organizations adapt to market fluctuations while ensuring their workforce remains engaged and empowered.
Holding an MBA from Rice University with an emphasis on organizational behavior and corporate culture, Ryan leverages his deep understanding of human dynamics within organizations to foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.
